Implementation of the 2015 Inter- Census Population Survey (SUPAS)

SUPAS is a survey aimed at estimating the population size and demographic indicators between two population censuses. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has conducted SUPAS four times, in 1976, 1985, 1995, and 2005.

SUPAS collects population data, covering key information on residents, the elderly, births, deaths, maternal mortality, population migration, employment, housing, and living conditions. In SUPAS 2015, additional information was gathered on international out-migration, climate change, and disabilities.

The peak of SUPAS activities occurred in May 2015, with household updating and complete enumeration of sample households across all sample areas throughout Indonesia.
