On Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the BPS Barito Selatan office hall, BPS Barito Selatan held a training session for the processing of the Inter-Census Agricultural Survey (SUTAS) 2018. The processing training was attended by five BPS staff members, including the Statistics Data Integration Section, responsible for data processing, and the Production Statistics Section, which is the subject matter expert for the SUTAS 2018 activity. In addition, six BPS partners participated in the training, with three assigned as editing/coding officers and three as data entry officers.
The processing training was officially opened by the Head of BPS Barito Selatan, Eddy Surahman, SST, M.Si. In his speech, he emphasized that, in addition to fieldwork, data processing also plays a crucial role in determining the quality of the data. A good fieldwork effort would be wasted without proper data processing. Therefore, it is expected that the processing staff will be meticulous and careful in carrying out their tasks.
The training included a trial run of the editing/coding process and data entry procedures.
