Desa/Kelurahan Cantik (Cinta Statistik) program, part of the Cinta Statistik initiative, aims to enhance the competence of village officials in managing and utilizing data for more accurate village development planning. Previously, the BPS Barito Selatan Regency launched Buntok Kota as the first Kelurahan Cantik on August 29, 2024.
Currently, BPS Barito Selatan is taking steps to implement this initiative by holding meetings with the village heads to identify the needs of the village for the Desa Cantik Program. This was held on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the Buntok Kota Village Office Hall. Additionally, on September 3, 2024, BPS Barito Selatan, together with the village head and the Department of Housing, Settlements, and Land/Dinas Perumahan, Kawasan Permukiman Dan Pertanahan (Disperkimtan), conducted a house-to-house visit to check buildings identified as unfit for habitation. This activity also supports the output of the Desa Cantik Program.
