The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is one of the most important sources of labor data in Indonesia. This survey is specifically designed by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to collect data that reflects general labor conditions between enumeration periods. Sakernas is conducted twice a year, in February and August. The purpose of Sakernas August 2019 is to obtain estimates on the number of employed people, the number of unemployed, and other labor indicators, as well as their development at the national, provincial, and district/city levels.
The Sakernas enumerator training for BPS Barito Selatan was divided into two sessions: Session I was held from July 15 - 19, 2019, and Session II from July 19 - 22, 2019. The training took place at Hotel Mulya Kencana, Buntok. The training participants consisted of 26 Field Enumerators (PCL) and 10 Field Supervisors (PML), guided by one regional instructor.
The Sakernas August 2019 training in Barito Selatan Regency was officially opened by the Head of BPS Barito Selatan, Eddy Surahman, on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. This training aims to ensure that enumerators understand the concepts, definitions, and objectives of Sakernas. Consequently, during field implementation, enumerators are expected to communicate effectively with respondents and obtain high-quality, accurate data.
